Top 10 Moments of 2013: No. 4 – International Champions Cup Finals
2013 brought a new tournament to South Florida and the world of soccer. The International Champions Cup Finals comes in at No. 4 on the Top 10 Moments at Sun Life Stadium in 2013.
A crowd of 67,237 were on hand to witness Real Madrid win the inaugural Guinness International Champions Cup trophy, defeating Chelsea by a score of 3-1. Cristiano Ronaldo led the way for Madrid by scoring two goals and earning Man of the Tournament honors
Madrid started the scoring early, when Marcelo found the back of the net during the 14th minute to gain an early lead.
