ICC Will Bring Unprecedented Club Competition To Sun Life
If an American fan has had a first-hand taste of international club soccer in the states, it’s likely been via a friendly match.
This summer, though, a competitive knockout tournament, featuring some of the sport’s premier names, will be coming to the U.S.
Eight world-class soccer teams — AC Milan, Inter Milan, Valencia, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Everton, Juventus and the Los Angeles Galaxy — will participate in the inaugural Guinness International Champions Cup, which will conclude with an exciting pair of doubleheaders at Sun Life Stadium on Aug.

Guinness International Champions Cup Teams, Venues, Bracket Announced
Relevent Sports, a division of RSE Ventures, the sports, entertainment and technology company co-founded by Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and Matt Higgins, announced complete details for the 2013 Guinness International Champions Cup. The tournament begins July 27thin Valencia, Spain with A.C. Milan taking on Valencia, with other opening round matches played at University of Phoenix Stadium, AT&T Park and Lucas Oil Stadium. The tournament will culminate on August 6-7 as all eight teams descend upon Miami’s Sun Life Stadium for a pair of exciting doubleheaders including the championship match on August 7.

Spain Announces Roster For U.S. Matches
Spanish national team coach Vicente Del Bosque today announced his preliminary roster for the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil. Twenty three of the 26 players called by the Spanish coach will travel to the United States for matches against Haiti on June 8 in Miami and then against Ireland on June 11 before traveling to Brazil.
Featured among the 26 players called are 19 that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and 20 that won the 2012 European Championship in Poland and the Ukraine.

Full Lineup Announced For International Champions Cup
NEW YORK, NY – During its broadcast of the 2012-13 UEFA Champions League final, FOX officially revealed the eight clubs that will participate in this summer’s Guinness International Champions Cup. The tournament will be played from July 27-August 7 in Phoenix, Los Angeles, Indianapolis, New York, Miami and one European city.
The teams are Chelsea, A.C. Milan, Valencia, Everton, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Juventus and the LA Galaxy.
The eight teams featured in the tournament represent some of the world’s largest and most successful clubs.

South Florida Super Bowl Committee Unveils Final Bid

If ever there was a winning game plan to be admired when it comes to landing a record 11th Super Bowl for the Miami area, it was on display this morning at Sun Life Stadium.
The Super Bowl Bid Committee has tapped into everything the National Football League is looking for and then some for the historic 50th Super Bowl to be played in 2016. Plans for an urban core as the central location for activities include a comprehensive Super Bowl Village in downtown Miami, a Super Bowl Cove complete with floating nightclubs and a Navy aircraft carrier docked at Bayfront Park.

Sun Life Stadium, Operation 305 To Host Opportunity Fair Thursday At Sun Life
Sun Life Stadium and Operation 305 will host an Opportunity Fair, the first in a
series of similar events that will be held across Miami-Dade County in the
coming weeks, tomorrow at Sun Life Stadium.
This event will allow applicants to register with South Florida Workforce for stadium modernization project opportunities. Attendees can also participate in interview and resume workshops and learn about other employment opportunities that are currently available with the Dolphins, Sun Life Stadium, and many of their largest vendors.

Spain To Field Top Team Against Haiti In Miami
Spanish national team manager Vicente Del Bosque confirmed today that the World Cup champions will bring its A-team to the United States for a match against Haiti on June 8 in Miami.
“”We’re going to the U.S. in June with the same group that’s going to compete at the Confederations Cup. This will be a very tough tournament, and as always, we will take the players that we consider the best,” said Spain coach Vicente Del Bosque. “We have a very stable roster, with top players to choose from, although the base of the team was formed a while back and it will be those players that are in the matches against Haiti and Ireland, as well as in Brazil.”
The match, which is presented by Relevent Sports, Sun Life Stadium and RSE Ventures, will mark the first time that the two sides have met.
