Miami – Dolphins Cancer Challenge (DCC) today announced that Grammy-Award winners Sheryl Crow and Melissa Etheridge will headline the DCC VI Finish Line Celebration on February 20, 2016 at Sun Life Stadium. The concert will be a celebration of DCC participants’ hard work and fundraising efforts for cancer research. The concert is one of the new elements of the recently announced changes to the DCC – providing multiple opportunities for participation, and keeping the focus on fighting cancer.

“I’m thrilled to support the Miami Dolphins’ effort to fight cancer by performing at DCC VI in February,” Melissa Etheridge said. “Everyone can be a cancer fighter and I salute those who will ride, walk and volunteer to raise money for cancer research. I hope thousands of South Floridians will join us and I look forward to celebrating their efforts at the finish line!”

General admission tickets are on sale now at DolphinsCancerChallenge.com for $50. Proceeds from the concert will be part of the gift given to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center.

On February 20, 2016, all routes for DCC VI will lead to Sun Life Stadium. Participants can choose between seven options: from a 5k walk/run to rides 13-100 miles. In addition, there are volunteer opportunities available for anyone who interested in being a cancer fighter.

About Melissa Etheridge

Melissa Etheridge stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album, which led to an appearance on the 1989 Grammy Awards show. For several years, her popularity grew around such memorable originals as “Bring Me Some Water,” “No Souvenirs” and “Ain’t It Heavy,” for which she won a Grammy® in 1992. Etheridge hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am (1993).
