Sun Life Stadium To Enhance Fan Experience And Energy Efficiency With Eaton’s Advanced Ephesus LED Lighting System
Power management company Eaton today announced that Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, University of Miami and the Orange Bowl, plans to implement an advanced light-emitting diode (LED) system designed to enhance the viewing experiences for stadium spectators and television audiences, while reducing energy use by as much as 75 percent. The new Ephesus Lighting LED system will be implemented for the beginning of the 2016 NFL football season.
The new LED system, with its instant-on capability, eliminates the warm-up period associated with more traditional bulb-based lighting such as metal halide products.

Miami Dolphins to Sell Limited Amount of Stadium Seats, All Proceeds to Benefit Miami Dolphins Foundation
Miami, FL – After numerous inquiries on social media and phone calls, the Miami Dolphins today announced that a limited number of assembled seats and seatbacks will be made available to Season Ticket Members and the general public starting Wednesday, July 8. The seats were disassembled and removed during Sun Life Stadium construction. Committee Excited To Be Under Consideration For Future Super Bowls
When Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross decided to finance a $400 million renovation of Sun Life Stadium, he did it in part to try to bring the Super Bowl back to South Florida. The first step toward that goal coming to fruition happened this week at the owners meetings in San Francisco when Miami was selected as one of four finalist cities for the 2019 and 2020 Super Bowls. “It wasn’t a total surprise, but you always get a lot of gratification when an owner like Steve Ross writes the check, makes your stadium better and allows you to compete with all the new stadiums coming online,” said Rodney Barreto, Chairman of the South Florida Super Bowl Committee.
