Yaya Toure, David Silva, Edin Dzeko and Joe Hart Highlight Club’s Roster for Matches in Pittsburgh, New York and Minneapolis NEW YORK, NY (July 21, 2014) – Manchester City today announced its roster for the 2014 Guinness International Cup. The roster for the defending Premier League Champions features the club’s top stars including Yaya Toure, David Silva, Edin Dzeko and Joe Hart as well as new signings Fernando and Willy Caballero. As part of the club’s first participation in the Guinness International Champions Cup, Manchester City will face A.C.

The countdown to the Guinness International Champions that will host  eight of the best soccer clubs in the world is now only three days away from kick off! Today’s team preview will highlight one of the world’s most storied and popular club teams, A.C. Milan. Milan has spent the majority of its existence in the top flight of Italian football, Serie A. They are the second most successful club in the world regarding international trophies winning 18 Serie A titles, seven UEFA Champion League titles and four FIFA titles.

The Colombian Independence Festival  returns to Sun Life Stadium for the second time on Sunday, July 20 to celebrate its 26th anniversary. The festival, which runs from 2 p.m.– 11 p.m., includes a large children’s playground, ethnic foods, arts and crafts and live performances by Colombian and Latin American artists. The main stage will feature a wide array of musical acts including Latin Grammy Award winning vallenato artist Jorge Celedon, the long-running popular salsa group Orquesta Guayacan (formally known as Group Niche), and one of the most renowned vallento singers in Colombia, Iván Villazón.

The Guinness International Champions Cup will kick off in six days! Today’s team preview will feature Italian football club, AS Roma. AS Roma or “Roma” is a competitive club based out of Rome, Italy. The team is competing in Serie A for the 63rd consecutive season. Roma has won Serie A three times as well as nine Coppa Italia titles and two Supercoppa titles.  The team will look to improve their second place title in the Italian Serie A this year.

We are now seven days away from the start of the Guinness International Champions Cup. The tournament will feature eight renowned soccer clubs from around the world, but only one will be crowned champion at Sun Life Stadium on August 4. Our team previews continue with FC Internazionale, better known as Inter. Inter is an Italian club based in the city of Milan. Inter is globally known as one of the most successful teams, having earned 18 Italian Serie A titles, seven Italian Cups, five Italian Super Cups, two European Cups, one UEFA Champions League, three UEFA Cups, two Intercontinental Cups and now FIFA Club World Cup.

The Guinness International Champions Cup will kick off Thursday, July 24 in Toronto, Canada with the first matchup being a battle between AC Milan vs. Olympiacos. The match is set for 8 p.m. ET at Toronto’s BMO Field. This year, the format consists of two groups of four in a round-robin tournament. Each team will participate in three matches in group play and the two group leaders will meet in Miami on August 4 for the final match at Sun Life Stadium.

NEW YORK, NY (July 7, 2014) – Manchester United today announced initial details of the travelling squad for its participation in the 2014 Guinness International Champions Cup.  The squad will also take part in its July 24match at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California against the LA Galaxy. The squad will depart for the pre-season tour of the United States on Friday 18th July with many new faces joining the team for the first time. Fresh from his exploits at the 2014 FIFA World Cup, new manager Louis van Gaal will be part of the full tour with his first match in charge of United taking place against LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl on Wednesday 23rd July.
