We continue our team previews with a look at Manchester City as it is now just two days until the Guinness International Champions Cup begins in Toronto.

Apart of the English Premier League, “The Blues” won the  Premier League title in 2012 and has won 25 major trophies in the team’s history, including the FA Cup, League Cup and European Cup Winners’ Cup.

Manchester City’s roster is made up of some of the league’s best players.

Argentine forward Sergio Aquero played in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, but suffered injuries after the match against Nigeria. Aquero made a comeback to face the Netherlands with eight minutes to play in the semifinal match. Aquero scored a penalty kick which helped boost the nation into the fifth World Cup Final and their first in 24 years.

Ivory midfielder Yaya Toure is known for combining passing and physical power and is comfortable swapping from defensive to offensive positions throughout matches. He was voted African Footballer of the Year in 2011, 2012 and 2013. Toure made his third appearance the 2014 World Cup and captained the team. He was named Man of the Match by FIFA after the defeat of Japan.

Other notable City players are team captain Vincent Kompany, who is known to play both center back and defensive midfield for the Belgium national team as well as City. He is listed as 23 ^rd in The 100 Best Footballers in the World by The Guardian.

Manchester City will kick off the International Champions Cup on July 27 with a match against AC Milan. The match is set for 4 p.m. ET at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, PA.
