The Brazilian national team face Colombia’s national team tonight at Sun Life Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m..
The two powerhouses meet for the first time since the 2014 FIFA World Cup. The match serves as a rematch of the World Cup quarterfinals. According to FIFA rankings, Colombia is currently ranked fourth while Brazil is ranked seventh in the world rankings.
Brazil starts a new era at Sun Life Stadium with new coach, Dunga. Dunga led Brazil to a victorious 1994 World Cup and also coached them at the 2010 tournament.
Brazil features Neymar who injured his back in the previous meeting with Colombia. Brazil’s captain, Thiago Silva is out of the match due to a hamstring injury. Brazil also stars nine players from Brazil’s World Cup team including Hulk, Oscar, and David Luiz.
Colombia features new signee Falcao from Manchester United. Leading scorer, Rodriguez, is expected to make an appearance in Miami as well. Defender Juan Zuniga, named for being responsible for Neymar’s injury, has not been named for the squad.
A win for either team will look ahead to qualifying for the South American World Cup.
