Down 20-17 late in the game, quarterback Ryan Tannehil drove the Dolphins down the field in under three minutes, over the course of nine plays, capping off the drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass to running back Marcus Thigpen to go ahead 24-20.  Tannehill finished the day with 312 yards passing, completing 25 of 37 passes for three touchdowns.

With 1:15 remaining on the clock, the Patriots drove 66 yards down to the Miami 14-yard line, but it was there that the Dolphins stingy defense thwarted Tom Brady’s comeback bid.  On fourth-and-5, newly acquired safety Michael Thomas intercepted a Tom Brady pass in the endzone to seal the victory.

Thomas, the game’s unlikely hero who was signed off the 49ers practice squad earlier in the week, was playing in his first NFL game.  Following his game winning interception, Thomas was swarmed by teammates celebrating in the endzone.

A crowd of 70,660 ecstatic fans were on hand to witness the game winning drive, on which Tannehill completed nine of 12 passes for 69 yards, including go ahead the one yard touchdown to Sims. Sims’ spectacular one-handed catch in the back of the endzone was ever more so impressive considering the fact that Falcons’ linebacker Stephen Nichols was draped on his back.

The touchdown gave the Dolphins their first lead of the game, but it was all that they needed to secure the victory.  This early season, end of the game drama, is clearly worthy of the number nine most memorable of Sun Life Stadium in 2013.

The Cheeseburger Baby food truck is a branch off of the long-time South Beach restaurant bearing the same name. The brick and mortar restaurant, which is known as “The Very First Cheeseburger Restaurant on South Beach,” is a late night favorite amongst visitors and locals, whose menu features a variety of burgers and sides.

Miami Press , which specializes in gourmet sandwiches, was founded by Rand and Chris, who have spent most of their culinary careers cooking for celebrities.  Their menu features sandwiches ranging from the “Turkey Cranberry Press” and “Spicy Meatball Press” to the “Kogi BBQ Press.”

David Peck, who starred as Executive Chef in the kitchens of Morada Bay Beach Café and Tap 42, started his latest culinary adventure with Box of Chacos .  Featuring traditional Mexican and Latin American dishes with an influence of Asian flavors, the Box of Chacos menu features items ranging from the Chow Mai Chicken taco to Quesadillas made with Tio’s pork, jalapeño kimchi, three cheeses and salsita.

Food Junkies, home of Dawn’s World Famous Sea Slaw, combines traditional comfort food with Caribbean flavors.  The lengthy menu, on which all items are cooked to order, features foods ranging from Fried Chicken and Waffles to Bahamian Style Conch Salad, as well as Auntie Lully’s Mystery Punch.

Miami Dolphins Food Truck Competition

• 9:00 am: Located just outside of the Don Shula Plaza at Gate E, the inaugural Miami Dolphins Food Truck Competition presented by Food Truck Invasion will featuring top Miami food trucks including Pescados Unidos, Cheeseburger Baby, Ms. Cheezious, Los Chamos, and Miami Press.  Taste them all and vote for your favorite!

DFX Truck

• 9:00 – 11:00 am: Enjoy live music, giveaways, and watch      the NFL Pregame shows on multiple TV’s.
• 11:05 – 12:00 pm: Meet the Miami Dolphins Cheerleaders      and watch them perform live at the DFX Truck before kickoff.
